The resort of Alcudia is a firm family favourite and offers something for everyone. The beaches here are some of the best on the island and the region also has its fair share of lively bars and discos. Restaurants and cafes line the beautiful promenade and surround the pretty harbour. You can find cuisine from all over the globe here, so self catering is very popular. The old town is well worth a visit to see the beautiful Roman amphitheatre and winding streets. The location of the Sol De Alcudia Apartments mean that lively bars and restaurants are literally on the doorstep and the sandy beach is just 600 metres away.

The Sol De Alcudia Apartments are friendly and welcoming and ideal for families looking to be close to all the action. The apartments offer a good range of facilities including a beautiful swimming pool with sun terrace and snack bar. For children there is a games room and pool tables as well as a children's paddling pool. Evening entertainment includes weekly cabaret shows, live music and dancing.

The apartments are spacious and very well equipped for self catering holidays. You can choose from studios sleeping up to three people or apartments which come in 1,2 and 3 bedroom versions. The 3 bedroom apartments are perfect for larger families and have two twin bedrooms and a single bedroom as well as two sofa beds in the lounge.

Self catering is an excellent option in this resort as there are so many places to eat out and also many supermarkets. The hotel does offer a self catering with all inclusive drinks option which can prove to be excellent value for money and ideal for those with young children who spend most of their time at the hotel. One of the best things about The Continental Park Hotel is the location. The biggest beach in Majorca is just across the road making this hotel hard to beat for a beach based holiday! The centre of Alcudia is just a 5 minute taxi ride or 30 minute stroll away for those looking for lively bars and discos, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars close by for those who prefer something more peaceful.

The hotel itself has a homely and friendly feel with bright modern interior and simple furnishings. The apartments are basic but have everything needed for a self catering holiday including air conditioning, TV, balcony and well equipped kitchen area.
During the day most guests base themselves around the pool and there is a smaller pool for the little ones to splash around in. There is also a stage outside where evening entertainment is hosted including games, shows and quizzes. Other facilities include a tennis court and playground.

The Continental Park offers an all inclusive option which represents excellent value for money and is perfect for families who prefer to stay in the grounds of the hotel on an evening. The meals are served buffet style and poolside snacks are also available. Of course soft drinks and locally produced alcoholic drinks are also included although times may be restricted.

The Hoetur Club Bellevue is a popular family hotel offering an extensive programme of activities for adults and children alike. The hotel feels more like a private town and is crammed with facilities to ensure the fun never stops. The location in Alcudia is ideal for families. The pretty resort is home to some of the finest beaches in the Island and also has a good selection of bars, shops, discos and cafes. The harbour is a lovely place for a relaxing family meal.

The club Bellevue is 900m from the beach and situated beside the beautiful Esperenza Lake with beautifully landscaped grounds and amazing views. There are no less than 8 swimming pools throughout the resort as well as several spacious sun terraces and pleasant grassy areas. Sporting facilities are plentiful and include archery, basket ball, aerobics, football, table tennis and crazy golf. For children there is an outdoor playground and separate sections in all 8 of the pools. The kids club offers a comprehensive range of activities throughout the day and evening so kids can have fun while mum and dad have time to relax.

The hotel offers an all inclusive option which is excellent value. Meals can be taken in the bright and airy buffet restaurant in the Spanish Village area. Snacks are also available throughout the day and guests staying on a self catering basis can dine at any of the snack bars, restaurants or use the take away service. For drinks there are several bars including the poolside bar, Moroccan bar and pub. There is even an ice-cream parlour!

Accommodation is in spacious studios or apartments. Studios sleep 2-4 people and 1 bedroom apartments are similar but have a concertina door to separate the bedroom. 2 bedroom apartments have a living area and two separate twin bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 people. All have excellent facilities including well equipped kitchens with microwave and furnished balcony or terrace.

Recent reviews of the Hoetur Club Bellevue have praised the fantastic evening entertainment - in particular the Grease cabaret show with is a big hit with the kids. Other reviews mention the fresh tasty food at the snack bars and the wonderful lakeside location. One recent guest points out that the boat from the hotel to the beach is an excellent way to travel.

The Hotel Jupiter is one of the most popular family hotels in Alcudia and offers an All Inclusive option so you don't need to worry about spending money once you arrive. The complex is superbly designed with dedicated areas for fun, relaxation and entertainment. There is also a beautiful lake where guests can enjoy pedalos (free of charge on a morning). Facilities include 4 swimming pools with shallow children's sections and a village playground. There are several kids clubs with well organised day and evening activities.

There are several room options at the hotel. Standard rooms sleeping up to 4 people have two double beds, air conditioning, TV and a small balcony. Family rooms have a double bed and bunk beds for kids as well as a DVD player and Sony Playstation. Superior rooms are also available and are similar to standard rooms with the edition of tea and coffee making facilities, plasma TV and fridge.

The All Inclusive programme at the Jupiter means that all your meals and drinks are included so you don't need to spend a single Euro once you arrive. Main meals are served buffet style and there are themed evenings several times a week. This hotel also offers unlimited snacks and unlimited ice cream for children! The hotel is located less than an hour from the airport and there are many bars and restaurant near by. The beach is within walking distance, but with so much on offer in resort many guests never venture that far.
