Polis is a little known resort with a charming and relaxing feel. The area is one of great natural beauty with views of Chrysochou Bay and some paths for cycling and horse riding. The area is still quite traditional and you can get a feel for the real Cyprus away from the bars and clubs of the larger resorts.
This charming resort in Cyprus is a peaceful base from which you can explore all this Island has to offer including archaeological museums and Byzantine churches as well as sleepy fishing ports and larger tourist resorts.
Polis has a good choice of shops and restaurants for a small resort and many more can be easily reached by car or bus. Paphos is less than 30 minutes away and is a wonderful town to visit with a long sandy beach and plenty of water sports.
When it comes to booking your holiday to Polis there are various ways to do this - either by booking a package holiday which includes flights, hotels and transfers - or by booking your flights and hotels separately. We recommend booking your Polis holiday with Thomson as they offer flights to both Paphos and Larnaca from many regional airports so you can book a flight local to you.

Refined and relaxing are two words we would use to describe the Cyprus resort of Polis. We think this area is ideal for families in particular due to the quiet beaches and laid back atmosphere. This is also one resort which has managed to retain a true Cyprus feel with traditional winding streets and white washed walls. Pahos airport is the best one to fly into if you are going to Polis as it's closer than Larnaca airport - the transfer time is about 1 hour.
