Lagos is a historical town and a busy port. As well as the lovely beaches close by it is home to several historical statues and buildings including an ancient fort. You can also enjoy wandering through the cobbled streets which are lined with little shops and boutiques. Golf is also available close by and boat trips are also plentiful allowing you to explore more of Portugal.
Ponta da Piedade is a short ride away and is a trip not to be missed with stunning rock formations! Waters sports are available for the more adventurous including wind surfing and parasailing.
There are plenty of hotels in Lagos to choose from including some great family friendly complex's offering kids clubs and evening entertainment. There are also plenty of self catering apartments and you can enjoy sampling the local food in the many restaurants.
