To the east of the Algarve you will find Monte Gordo which is actually situated close to Spain. This resort was once a fishing village and the local restaurants serve the best in seafood dishes.  As well as restaurants there is a selection of shops and bars and even a casino.  The relaxed feel of this resort and the sandy beach ensures it's popularity year after year.
