Winter Holidays

Posted in Cheap Beach Holidays BLOG

Getting away from the grey of winter will be good for both you and your family. It will work wonders on your stress levels as well. Wouldn't you love to get away to a sunny location away from the cold and damp?

Sounds like brilliant idea! But what if you need to stay where you are? Well, the only thing to do is then to make the best of your situation. Weather in and around Europe is quite unpredictable during off-season months. But you can use this time to get around the city and see tourist locations when they are not overcrowded with summer and peak season tourists. Beaches can also be relaxing in the off-season if there is no rain. Overall, it's a great time to get to know the locals and their lifestyle.

Take in the city sights

Everyone flocks to Europe during the summer months. But those that have experimented with winter holidays know that Europe takes on the glow of a fairy place in the winter months. Budapest is a fantastic city to visit over the holiday season.

You will thoroughly enjoy the light snowfall as you walk the streets of this old and remarkable city. You will get lost in a past era rich in culture and mythology. You will love the feel of history that Budapest offers. A hotel that will encourage this fantasy is located on Embassy road and is called The Andrassy Hotel. Its architecture is breathtaking!

If shopping is on your 'to-do' list, then you should definitely head east towards the land of deserts. UAE is a new world built from scratch and offers so much for shoppers and tourists alike. Here an old hotel is one that opened in 1992. With tourism a big part of the economy you will find UAE a friendly and hospitability location for your winter holiday. There is a lot to see and do in Dubai but you may want to fill your wallet as costs can be high.

A snowy holiday

If you're the traditional sort that believes a winter vacation should include lots of snow then choose the Alps! There's nothing better than an Alpine holiday to put you in the best of moods. Leaving snow out of a winter holiday would be a mistake. Thankfully, the UK is close to the Alps and a bevy of social winter activities. You certainly do not need to be a skier to head for the Alps. Slay rides, winter balls, eating and drinking in front of roaring fires- all that lies in store. It's a once in a lifetime experience and you would be sorry if you did not try it at least once when you had the chance.

Educate Yourself

A winter holiday may not allow you to visit the beach everyday, but it does give you an opportunity to explore the history and culture of a city. You can spend time at the libraries and the museums or just sit in the local parks and savour the atmosphere around. You can also wine and dine at famous resorts as their prices would have lowered due to off season rates.
