Beach Holiday in Bulgaria

Bulgaria is emerging as one of the cheapest and most fascinating places to visit for a beach holiday and has everything going for it from sunny weather to gorgeous coastal regions. Bulgaria is also a popular place for cheap ski holidays during the winter months.

Coastal and ski resorts are the real hot spots with tourists starting to realise the charm and convenience of Bulgaria. Beach holidays in Bulgaria also provide great value for money in comparison with other countries like Spain and Italy. For accommodation of the same standard you can expect to pay less in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria is actually one of Eastern Europe's fastest developing nations and it's only about 3 and a half hours flight time from the UK. The affordability of Bulgaria makes it a good option for those on a budget looking for a cheap beach holiday or a cheap ski break. Bovorets is currently Bulgaria's most talked about Ski resort as it is undergoing a £400 million expansion in 2014 and could be a lucrative area to holiday in once complete. With over a hundren hotels in the Sunny Beach area alongsode two established campsites you should be able to find somewhere to stay to suit your budget and also the size of your family.  You won't be stuck for things to do in this region as there are an abundance of retsaurants as well as other entertainment.  For a livlier night out you might want to head to one of the taverns to see a folklore show or maybe head out to a nightclun or disco.  There are also some casinos which stay open until late.

If you are into sports and like to stay active during your holiday then Bulgaria does not disappoint.  There are facilities in the region for tennis, bowling, beach volleyball, hand gliding, mini golf and loads more.

For those who love watersports then you could indulge in a spot of water ski-ing, sailing or maybe just taking out a gentle paddle boat.  The choices are endless.

Sunny Beach itself is based around a wide semi circle of a bay with lovely soft sand a shoreline which slopes into the sea gently.  From May until September weather tends to stay nice and Bulgaria is recommended for a beach holiday during those months.

Bulgaria may not be somewhere that you know much about as it hasn't been as popular for holidaysas say France and Spain for British people until recently. A typical Bulgarian meal might include a Ta Shopska Salad made of lettuce and grated local cheese, lamb drob sarma with mint and yoghurt or any meat stew.
