Head to Luxor or Cairo for sight seeing. Cairo is the most modern city in the Middle East and has good restaurants and busy nightlife.
With year round sun Egypt is a popular holiday destination in Winter as well as in summer. Spring and Autumn are perfect times to visit when the weather is not too hot and this is a great time for sight seeing. The beautiful resort of Sharm El Sheikh is a real favourite with it's enviable sandy beaches and world class diving opportunities. Hurghada is an alternative coastal resort which offers sandy beaches with a more traditional Egyptian feel to the place. Both Sharm El Skeikh and Hurghada are recommended for beach lovers. Much of the nightlife in the coastal areas is hotel based but there are bars, restaurants and clubs around if you fancy a change of scenery.
For a real taste of Egypt then Luxor is the place to go. With some of the most historic sites in the world a trip here will leave you in awe. The valley of the Kings and the Pharoah's Tombs are just some of the amazing sites. Luxor also offers market shopping, restaurants and bars. As Egypt is an easy place to travel around many choose to visit Luxor as part of their holiday for a day or two and spend the remainder of their time in a beach resort or perhaps on a Nile cruise.
Other options for an Egyptian holiday include a relaxing Nile Cruise or maybe heading South of Egypt to Aswan. Aswan is positioned on the Nile and is a place full of history and culture with the benefit of breathtaking mountain scenery. El Gouna is one of our favourite areas of Egypt. This lesser known area set alongside 10kn of sandy beaches is well worth a visit. El Gouna is unusual in that it is built on a series of islands and lagoons. Diving is popular in El Gouna as are other water sports such as water skiiing. From beautiful El Gouna it is easy to take a trip to Cairo or Luxor which will enable you to experience more of this exotic country.
There are plenty of hotels to choose from throughout Egypt which are usually of a very high standard especially in the coastal resorts. All inclusive is a popular choice in Egypt where some of the bigger hotels are almost mini holiday resorts in themselves. With numerous bars and private beaches some holidaymakers choose just to stay and relax in the hotel for the duration of their stay.
